New Day

I woke up this morning to God's voice. Three things you have to do this year.
1. Do your FAFSA
2. Go back to school
3. Hook up with Jumpstart

My heart and my mind have never been so on the same page in my life. I have been reflecting during my time of unemployment. I am grateful that I went through this experience of trying to make it work for my family. I encountered people who were in the same boat I was in. I would have never known the intimacy or struggle or compassion I can have for people who are going through this. I am fortunate to be returning to work today but I have this deep desire to keep connected to this struggle.

Not because I want to miss a meal but because I want to be close to the people who need the support that God has given me to give. House of Hope has to live. Which tied to a level of gratefulness even more than I previously expressed. He actually gave me an answer for the world that can leave my mark and help somebody make it another day.

I came in contact with two people. Debra Giles and Ethel while Ubering and they both have a passion for there community. My conversation with them gave me a chance to see my dream again and see its purpose.

Today I go to work with sense of renewed purpose. My Lord spoke to my while I was in the showering giving him praise, which seems to be my tarrying place. He said

I am bringing everything into alignment for you. Your job is to keep aligned. That what your power is for.

As I reflected on that statement it occurred to me that things that have power dont have power for no reason. They have power for purpose. A circuit in a board for any device does not boast about its amperage it simple holds is amperage so the rest of the board can do its job. To that end I am seeing the scripture power for purpose

John 19:10- 12

10 So Pilate said to him, “You will not speak to me? Do you not know that I have authority to release you and authority to crucify you?” 

11 Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin.”
12 From then on Pilate sought to release him ...

Power as it own device has no meaning with out purpose. Pilate was mislead to believe that it was his say that made the difference and the fact remain it really had nothing to do with him. It was the plan of God that he was there.

Alignment is necessary for power...no alignment no power.

Romans 12: 1-2

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The mind is processing tool and need to transform it comes as about of the fact often tampers with how things could or should be seen.  The way I like to describe this is to say that you dont look at images, they look at your. Or images show you something. Based on how you are wired determines what you see. Paul says Your mind needs to be re wired to see what God is trying to show you in your life, your job, relationships so that you can determine what lines up with his will....but not just lines but prove that it is his will for your life.

Power is for purpose and God is giving me the alignment I need to maintain to so that I can do his will.

Yet shortly after the Lord to me.

You will be able to walk away from Lincoln in five years time to do my will. But you need to maintain the alignment I am giving.

Prayer

Lord you speak to me so often and clearly. Help me to not take that for granted. Help me to be sensitive to your spirit, so that when you speak I worship. Thank you again Lord for taking care of me and not letting me down. For keeping my family safe and me healthy. I give you praise and glory. I know that you hear me always and I just want to be sure that you know that I am grateful for your provision and your hand of favor in my life. Lead me as a servant to your perfect will. As I approach this new opportunity I pray that you physically align my body so that I can accomplish the physical task. Teach me new discipline, from old wisdom. Work in me the strength of my father and grandfather to work this job well. Help me build key relationships that help me prosper your kingdom. Now more than ever be with me. Hold my hand and lead me to place of peace. Keep my mind.

Lord I pray now that you empower me to tithe faithfully, to recognize your Lordship over my finances. Lord empower to fall again hard for my wife, she deserves me to head of heels for her. Give me eyes for her and her alone. Lord bless my family to grow strong and to be bless to siblings and parents. To help someone else. Thank you for your healing flow. Open the eyes of our heart that we can see your hand when you are flowing to someone close to us. Lord bless my marriage to glorify you. Also help me find my ring....Kinda lost it and she is mad about. Sorry.  Also Lord I am thanking for helping me lose the weight I need so I can be healthy. Help me to glorify you in my body.

Finally I want to thank you for allowing my circumstances to crush me. It has help me to know you better and more. Thank you for drawing me close to you. Now Lord. Draw me nearer. I want to be closer than ever.
