As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
I have to admit this is going to make a bit emotional because of how this hits. My father is a teacher of the bible truth and he has imparted into me many lesson to this day that keep me. And in fact on the the major message that I spoke when I was IN front of the biggest crowds I had every spoke was about believing in the power of the gospel.
24-25 Stay with what you heard from the beginning, the original message. Let it sink into your life. If what you heard from the beginning lives deeply in you, you will live deeply in both Son and Father. This is exactly what Christ promised: eternal life, real life!
26-27 I’ve written to warn you about those who are trying to deceive you. But they’re no match for what is embedded deeply within you—Christ’s anointing, no less! You don’t need any of their so-called teaching. Christ’s anointing teaches you the truth on everything you need to know about yourself and him, uncontaminated by a single lie. Live deeply in what you were taught.
This simple truth reverberates through my being now. I have come to place where I have enough information to do what's right...now all that's left to do is live it out. I am reminded of the what they do for children in a bowling alley. That put up bumpers to make sure the shot the children take strike pins.
Ironically they dont just do that because they know the kid cant properly bowl. But rather to teach him how to do so.
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
The word of God is true and does not lie. The Lord himself has loosed the band on me that was used to teach me and now I have to STAND in faith. I must walk out what he has placed in me.
Its time to draw on all of the teachings that have been put in me to do all that God has called me to do.
My grandfather Scott Furr Jr. taught me and my father valuable life lessons and my father has passed on to me those same lesson and even more when it comes to the truth of God's word. The misty part is this, that as long I as I live and do what he taught me ...HE lives. The vestige of his abilities are in me and can be expressed in manner that was his... so long as I live by what I was taught.
