Message: Today I
stand before you to present a ministry that the Lord has called me to do and
you to be a part of. One of the biggest challenges that I believe we have as
body is how our local churches speak to the needs of the local communities in
which they sit.
History tell us that
the divide between the church and its home community comes from a combination
of factors, economic sprawl and or gentrification. Mean as the urban community
improved economically they cut ties with the place in which they lived in the
past. Or as the affluent community started moving people out it contributed to
the declination of the relationship.
On top of the
circumstances with our economic struggle there is also educational struggle
that we have not seemed to find away to address. Here is a test how many
educational professional in the room, how many parent whose children are
struggling in school in the room?
How many employers
in the room? How many people looking for jobs in the room?
How many daycare
providers in the room? How many parents need daycare?
The Lord has allowed
you to see what I have been looking at my whole life. The only institution in
the world that can harness the collective power of a community higher than the
school system or government is the church. I am not talking about making money
thought money has to be involved I am
talking about repairing the community from the inside out.
House of Hope
A place full of
God's glory and good works.
Jesus said " I
came that you might have life and life more abundant." My question to us
is what is life abundant if I don’t have the means to possess or maintain
it?"
I believe this is
where the power of Christ body comes into play to be proponent of well living
in all of those areas we just mentioned. Spiritually, Naturally, Educationally
and occupationally.
